The Women in Aerospace initiative brings together a wide range of events and programs for all audiences: students of all ages – from middle and high school to higher education – job seekers, women undergoing career transitions, as well as teachers, guidance counselors, and parents. French and international exhibitors, HR professionals, and gender equality advocates are fully engaged in this initiative.

Many areas of the Paris Air Show will support the operation: the Avion des Métiers in the Concorde Hall, the Aéro Terrace of L’Aéro Recrute outside, and the Musée de l’Air et de l’Espace (Air and Space Museum) from Friday to Sunday. Other key zones, such as the Paris Air Lab, Paris Space Hub, and numerous exhibitor spaces will also take part in the initiative. Women in Aerospace is led by GIFAS – the French Aerospace Industries Association – and the Paris Air Show, with support from Aérométiers, Elles Bougent, the Aéro-Club de France, the Air and Space Museum, and the ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation.

A Major Highlight: Friday, June 20 – The Paris Air Show Speaks with One Voice for Women

More than 400 middle and high school girls will be welcomed on Thursday by the associations Aérométiers and Elles Bougent, for guided visits and the awarding of the “Féminisons les métiers de l’aéronautique et du spatial” prize at the Air and Space Museum.

Friday, June 20 – the first day open to the general public – will mark the high point of the initiative. Industry ambassadors will be present on all partner stands. Panels featuring women’s perspectives will be held on the stages of the Paris Air Lab and the Paris Space Hub.

A number of inspiring talks by women will also take place across key areas: at the Avion des Métiers, on the Aéro Terrace, and on partner stands.

Visitors will also have access to the “Audacious Women of the Skies” exhibition at the Air and Space Museum (included with a Paris Air Show ticket), as well as a tribute wall to women in the military, and many other special activities.

Changing the Narrative

Beyond attracting and recruiting young women, the Paris Air Show seeks to fundamentally shift the perception of women’s place in the aerospace industry – in France and around the world. Through a rich program of events and standout moments across the Show, and with the mobilization of the entire sector, the mission is clear: transform mindsets and pave the way for a more inclusive industry where women’s talents thrive.

This initiative celebrates women from all areas of aerospace: from industry and defense, to aviation, space, airlines, airports, research, and science – at all levels of responsibility.

Through this initiative, we honor all the women who are already driving the aerospace sector forward. It is also a message of ambition and vision: we are committed to strengthening their role and visibility in the years to come.

Several exhibitors are joining this movement by offering dedicated activities, which will be listed progressively in the initiative’s program page. You’ll be able to visit their stands to learn more about career opportunities and get inspired.
